Wanderland 2014

It was already Saturday morning and I was growing desperate. I still didn’t have my ticket and I was tweeting like a madman just to score some tickets from the last ticket giveaway Karpos gave out that Saturday morning. My phone rang and it was an unregistered number. It was Jessie and he was asking me if I’m going to Wanderland. I said I wasn’t because I didn’t have a ticket. He asked me if I wanted to go. My voice was already shaky and I asked him if he was going to give me a ticket. When he said yes, it felt like I asked someone to marry me and said yes. My reaction was the same as it was from Chloe’s sister from that viral youtube video where Chloe’s sister had a Disneyland surprise from her parents.

I was already out on my way to Circuit Makati when my friend Gabe asked if we could go to Circuit together with his bro and two of his friend. Since it was my first time driving to Circuit and I didn’t know how to get there, it was a nice thought to be lost in the city with your friends so I agreed on leaving for Wanderland at 4pm.
So I went on to meet Gabe outside their village and we went on to their house so he and his bro could freshen up and get ready for the festival. I was anxiously waiting for the brothers inside Gabe’s room while asking my friends who were already in the festival which bands were already playing. I was relieved to know that Franco hasn’t started playing (because it was Franco first before Lucy Rose) and I thought I would still have time to catch Lucy Rose’s set.
It was already around 4:30pm when we left Gabe’s house and we had to meet Gabes friends somewhere. It took us a good 20 minutes to fetch his friends and we went on to go to the festival at around 5pm. It was 5:30 and we were texted by our friends that Lucy Rose was already setting up. We were still in Tambo, Coastal and I was anxiously driving, driving as fast as I can, just so we could make it in time before the end of her set.
It was only 5:45 when we were already in Makati. I was relieved and I thought we were gonna make it because it only took me 15 minutes to get to Makati. I thought if I kept it up we would get there before the end of Lucy’s set. I made a right turn to an unknown street and we got lost there. I thought that was where we would turn right. We had to ask directions from anyone we could ask from because we were clearly lost. It was already past 6pm and our friends was telling us that The Paper Kites were already setting up.
It was after a few songs from The Paper Kites when we got to the venue. I spent a good 5 minutes looking for a parking spot and another 5 to get from the parking area to the entrance of the festival because it was that far!
When I got there I waited for a few minutes for Jessie to get my tickets. Once I was in, Gabe’s brother and I parted and we both looked for our friends who were already inside. I looked for my friend Junessa  and we met at the carrousel area and I asked her if she has already eaten because I was fucking hungry. I freakin wanted to eat. So I went on to look for food, and that was when we met Ingrid. I was busy enjoying my food when I realize that Iwasn’t able to enjoy The Paper Kite’s set. I wasn’t even able to get pics of their set.
image
Anyway so after the set of The Paper Kites, Junessa, Ingrid, and I met with Rice and her friends. Rice’s friends went on to look for food and Rice stayed with us. A few moments before Last Dinosaur’s set started Gabe met with us and introduced us to John Dee Uy, the manager of Wanderland and the owner of Karpos Multimedia.
After meeting John, we all decided to come closer to the stage to watch the Last Dinosaurs. In all honesty, I was quite disappointed with their set. The band was great, they were all better than their recorded material except for one. The vocals was quite off. I’ve seen a few live videos of the band playing in small clubs and bars and they were good. I made myself believe that the singer was just not used to big crowds and that he was drowned by the noise on stage because everyone was not wearing a monitor. I still think that they are a great band. It was just a little bit disappointing that their set wasn’t as good as I expected it to be. Perhaps they were all nervous during their set because it was a really big crowd.
image
After Last Dinosaurs’s set our group wandered around the festival area looking around the food stalls, the game booths, and watched a the artists work on their installations. These were the moments when I question myself: Why do I even call myself an artist? The art was amazing, I failed to get the name of the artworks and their artists though.

While we were wandering off around the festival, it was already time for the Wonderful All Stars, a set of prominent OPM bands gathered by Globe. I wasn’t sure which bands were in it but the only one I could remember was Radioactive Sago Project (or at least Lourd De Veyra was there singing). During their set everyone was hungry and we looked around again for food, then we settled in a spot in front of River Island’s booth.
When it was time for The Royal Concept’s set, I realized that I have been missing out. TRC was amazing. Though their setup took up quite some time, the wait was definitely worth it. Their set was great, one of my favorites in the festival. Even though I did not know a single song from them I was dancing along with their songs and with the crowd. It was fun and it was amazing.
image
Next up was Architectures in Helsinki. Rice and her friends rushed to the crowd and left her things with me in our spot because I told her that I’ll just stay in our spot and listen from there. I did not know the band and when I tried listening to them for the first time in YouTube, I wasn’t that all into them. But when I saw them in their flashy clothing and they started playing the first few notes of their song That Beep, Gabe and I rushed to the stage. It was amusing watching them in colorful clothing while playing their really catchy song and they even had a dance for it. After dancing along with a few of their songs I got exhausted and I decided to go back to our spot and Gabe caught along with me. We were both exhausted and a little bit sleepy and we saw these two dudes doing a dance what seems to be a pop-locking dance moves (or whatever you call that idk dance, man) and they were amusing to watch. The dance was quite trippy when you watch it while AIH were playing. I swore that the next time AIH comes back to the Philippines I would have my own dance moves and I would dance along AIH while they were playing.
image
The last band to perform, and the band headlining the festival, was The Drums. Their set up took quite some time, almost or more than na hour actually. We were all quite exhausted and both Gabe and Junessa were already lying down on the grass, sleeping.
image
image
The Drums did a very fancy entrance, playing a modern rendition of The Blue Danube Waltz before they came out of the stage. It was a spectacular show. Tho I wasn’t quite that into them. When the lights from the stage came out people went rushing to the stage to dance along with their music. It was what everyone had been waiting for. I spent most of the time during their set, sleeping so I couldn’t say much about their set. The first few songs that I got to hear was good so I must say that they were a good bunch live.
image
This blog post could be a bunch of jargons because I didn’t have photos of myself but I did. Well I have one:
image
You can’t see the background tho because it was too dark for the film to catch all the light from the background (and I’m pretty damn sure we’d have to do a long exposure to catch all the light on the background and on myself without blasting myself with the flash). I’m also not the vain type and like enjoying every moment of my life without using my smartphone or distracting myself by taking pictures of what the hell is happening.
Pahabol: Also thank God I did not get lost on my way home, and thanks to my friends who hitched a ride with me for gassing up my car. U da bes.

Lj's Debut

Last night, LJ, one of my really good high school friends, celebrated her 18th birthday at Makati Shangri-La. It was yet, the most amazing and unique birthday party I've been to. Almost everyone from my high school was there. Last night was totally amazing.

We were all at the same table. Sadly the dumb-ass photographer didn't know how to adjust the focus of my lens. Dumb ass didn't even look if my camera's auto-focus was turned off. Thus, the bad quality of our only formal group photo.

The debutant, and the princess of the night, Ms. Lady Jewellyn Diola.

Just Migz Haleco and LJ, doing the traditional 18 roses dance.

Then here comes the weird part where we all had a choreographed dance with LJ, that I think totally shocked every body because it was the least I would expect on a debut.

LJ and her Lil bro doing a dougie battle, and yes this is their 18 roses dance. Hah.

Then after the 18 roses dance, we also had a special number where another choreographed dance was performed. The song was "Oppa Gangnam Style" and you know what are the dance steps.

The 18 roses group photo.

Two of our good friends, Migz Haleco and Nef Pagtakhan also performed last night. Migz played a one direction song, I don't know what the title was coz I'm not a 1-D Fan, and fuckin perfect, while Nef played the Bieb's Boyfriend and When You Say Nothing at All.

And As usual, couples are forever present on these occasions. Yup.

The only decent group photo of us.

The shikabengbeng. Yuh, these are my best bros and my band mates.

So these are the only photos I have with my friends. (The Portrait: with Darwin Sapitan, my best bro. Upper right: with Regina, Diandra, and Keithleen. Mid right: With Regina and Neil. Lower Right: With girlpreng Jozelle)

Yeah. We had nothing better to do inside the bathroom, and everyone does it so we thought we should do it too. Nah, we're just shitting with the camera.

Photoboothing.

So yeah, last night was totally amazing, the food was great, the place was great, almost everyone of my highschool friends were there. It was just quite sad though when they showed a slide show of LJ's dad. But all in all everything was amazing. I'm pretty sure her dad is really happy and proud for her.

Kudos, pRO: New Iris

****GUYS IF YOU CAME HERE BECAUSE YOU WERE INTERESTED ON THE ACCOUNTS THAT I AM SELLING JUST SCROLL DOWN PAST THIS DRAMATIC POST****

I'm quitting Philippine Ragnarok Online: New Iris Server and I guess after selling my accounts (more of that later on in this blog post) I'd be using my time for practicing whatever shit a Multimedia Arts student does (I am transferring to De La Salle College of Saint Benilde on September).

I had fun in pRO's New Iris server. I had a pretty decent handful of friends in game and I had fun spending sleepless nights with all of them in game just talking about whatever comes up to our minds and sometimes just stare at our monitors (well that's what I do at least) when our characters are just sitting at our hang out place.

I would also like to talk about the *ehem* New Iris Server Race: Guild Race Top: 2 *ehem* Emmensity guild formed by guild master Eien (Rune Knight) who is also known as Gheezii (Shadow Chaser) or better yet, known in real life as Roel Jan Manarang of Pampanga (this is facebook information ok).

During the first week of NI I've been looking for a guild to join in because I badly wanted to make friends online. During that time the only guilds that I've been seeing were Lux Lucis, Batibot, and the Heart Guild (nameless guild). I've been dying to join the Heart guild because I thought having an emblem on your name and not have the guild name is cool. But I guess they weren't really open to strangers. Same goes to Lux Lucis. I'm sorry Batibot I really didn't thought you guys were a serious guild back then. Well, because of the name. Then while at Prontera I saw Fr. Moy (Arch Bishop, Armon Gatus irl) talking to an assassin in game asking him "Gusto mong sumali ng guild? (Do you want to join our guild?)". To me it was the opportunity that I've been waiting for. So I pmed him "Ako po sir sasali ako. (I want to join, sir.)" he asked me where I was and I walked to his side and he sent me the guild invite. But my life with this Family did not start there right away. No. I haven't been active in game not until the first x3 exp mod came to NI. After the guild of Eien, Emmensity (event guild) reached to guild lv. 50, we all moved to what later on became the main guild of the Emmensity (of guild master Gheezii). After joining the guild I instantly made friends with x DOPE x (who was xDope that time) and Coffee & Milk (who was the 3rd Warlock in NI to reach 150). I think they both thought I was a girl that's why they started talking to me. The next person that I became friends with was with iheartAvejay when we went on leveling for 8 straight hours. And later on with Gheezii and Fr. Moy. I also became friends with these good people: Power Overwhelming, Aquia Yurikoh, Electronics, |GX|Project`, janshen,  DeadMouse, Noel Kreiss, Candy Shop, Pedobear~, and M o c h a.

the only formal guild shoot we had that I could remember of.

This is a guild meeting. yup.

But New Iris is getting shittier by the week. It's because of Level Up's greed and people's idiocy. I don't know but the server ain't that fun anymore when everyone's got +8s and all. That just sucks man. So yeah, I guess it's now time for me to hit the sack and get my ass moving coz there's a really big world out there. And sooner or later, real life will slap me in the face.

Well anyway, so here's the information on the accounts that I am selling.

I've stumbled upon this. Okay.

I am literally in tears right now okay. I really miss highschool. So much has changed since I graduated. Though it's been two years ago, I still feel like I just recently graduated and I could still remember everything so clearly in my mind. Aw. This post is so saddening.

***REPOST!!! THIS WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN BY ME TWO YEARS AND A MONTH AGO(MAY 3, 2010)***

The job change

This is the tale of the wandering bard, Bon Iver. Hailing from the Philippine Ragnarok Online, New Iris server, the story of the marvelous adventures of the bard Bon Iver.

(this is not a job change guide, but only an article about my experience while changing my Minstrel to Maestro. I shall link the job change guide that I used later after the blog post for everyone's convenience.)

After a long and tiring day of leveling my Minstrel to base level 99 and job level 70, finally I can change my job.

To start the job change I have to talk to a bard named Karian near the ship at alberta. He will tell me about the 'Minstrel Song'. That will be the main objective of this job change.

After talking to Karian he decides to join me in the quest of finding out who the 'Minstrel Song' is. He then tells me to go look for clues in Prontera. I have to talk next to the Warmhearted Woman located at the south of Prontera.

After talking to the Warmhearted Woman she then tells me to talk to the Glasses-wearer located north of Prontera near the kafra at the entrance of the castle.

I am then instructed to look for the Woman at the center of the city. She is near the entrance of the tool dealer. She then suspects that the 'Minstrel Song' is her child since her child used to love to sing all the time.

Then I have to meet Karian in the domestic airship (Juno-Einbroch-Lightalzen-Hugel) and I have to talk to him there.

I find myself teleported inside a room in Hugel with Karian. He gets sick when he rides the airship. He then instructs me to go find a man at the pub.

I then go to the pub just south from the inn, around 5 o' clock of the map. The Tone-deaf person will then sing to me and hear me sing. He then tell me something about the Thanatos Tower.

Karian decides to go to the Thanatos Tower with me. After walking a few steps to the entrance I will pick up an old photo receipt on the ground.

I then find out that the receipt is from Mr. Click who is in Juno. He shows me the photo from that receipt and I find out a note written at the back. I am then instructed to kill 33 Teddy Bears.

After killing the Teddy Bears, I head to Lightalzen to talk to a Little Girl. She tells me that the 'Minstrel Song' headed to the Ice Cave.

Upon reaching to the Ice Cave, I am teleported to a set of npcs retracing the steps of the 'Minstrel Song'. I then lose consciousness and wake up at a house in Rachel. The Old Woman then tells me that the 'Minstrel Song' went to Comodo.

Since Karian gets sick when travelling by air, we decided to use the kayak that is located south of Veins. It was kind of fun if I were to imagine the experience.

I will then wake up at the beach of Comodo. It's funny how my character said "I'm... I'm alive~".

After arriving at Comodo, I walk a few steps north and talk to the Kayak Master. He tells me that he doesn't know anything about the 'Minstrel Song'. He instructs me to head north.

At north of Comodo, I talk to the Woman Roasting Meat and tells me that the 'Minstrel Song' headed somewhere quite, southeast of Morroc.

I then head to the Assassin's guild and upon walking a series of steps I find a piece of paper. Karian shows up and tells me to visit the clock tower at Al De Baran.

Upon reaching the clock tower, Karian shows up singing a song that his friend used to sing. He then suggest that I return to Prontera.

While walking around south of Prontera Karian shows up and warps me to a small room.

He then confess that he is the 'Minstrel Song' and that he enjoyed journeying with me. He then changes my job to a Maestro.

I am now a Maestro. Finally after a week of hard work. Lol. I then recieve a Green Apple Ring and a Minstrel Song headgear as a reward for job changing.
